Twister

The Twister is a crude prototype of a concentric vortex burner that was made from what was remaining of Mr. Charcoal.

Gas-of-Fire 1000; architecture
version 02/19/2012

An open top down draft gas producer with divorced fuel hopper was constructed and tested. The design progressed through many changes until a stable device emerged. At this point in time the gas producer is hand feed.

A large Top Lite Up Draft (TLUD) made out of an old hot water tank heater.

Thermo-Biopile; version 2

With the first version there was a problem separating the water pipes from the compost/humus at the end of it's life cycle. This new version replaced the water pipes with a water tank and added a second source of heat thus a hybrid heating scheme.

A compost or possibly a humus pile was constructed to explore the possibilities of utilizing the heat generated from this process to heat a building.

Abstract: An engine stand was assembled to test the possibilities of running a stratified intake
mode engine fueled by Producer-Gas. Charcoal, corn and wood-gas was tested.
