Algae Binder
Page 1 of 2 This document describes how algae was tested as a binder for agglomerating sawdust as a pelleted biomass fuel. Above is the algae floating on top of the water. The gray material is last years cattails. Some cattails were included in the material tested. This was the first sample of algae. There was a total of three samples used in this experiment. The long horizontal material is cattail stock. This was the largest of the three samples. Above is the quantity of saw dust used, one kitty litter pail (about a five gallon bucket). This was from a band saw sawmill, finer dust than from a circular mill. Forward |
